Scholarships
Check out our scholarship offerings for student-age members of all educational stages.
Applicants must be COF members for at least 15 months prior to when the scholarship is awarded and in good standing at the time the scholarship is awarded. To learn more about becoming a member, find and contact a local agent.
This scholarship is worth $1,000. This scholarship is for incoming and current college students between the ages of 17 and 22. The award is paid directly to the college or university. Winners will be notified by email. The Fraternal Scholarship is now open for the 2024-25 school year and will run until June 30, 2025. Click to apply for the Fraternal Scholarship!
To qualify, applicants must do one of the following:
1. Host a Feeding God’s Children event within the application period.
- Applicants must register the event online, post event photos on social media with designated hashtags (#FraternalScholarship and #FeedingGodsChildren), send event photos to the Outreach Team and complete the post-event form.
- Applicants may also apply for the Feeding God’s Children Grant to assist with event costs.
2. Participate in Catholic Order of Foresters’ Alternative Break.
3. Serve as a religious education instructor at any level (kindergarten through Confirmation) at their home parish or in their college town during the application period.
You may apply without having completed one of the above items. The Outreach Team can help you achieve one!

Amount: $600
Deadline: November 30, 2024
Number of recipients: Up to 50 annually
Details: Members ages 17 and older who attend or are planning to attend an accredited college, university, or trade or technical school may apply. Applicant must be a COF member for at least 15 months prior to the award deadline (November 30) and in good standing at the time of receiving the award. Winners are selected by a random drawing. Previous winners and winners of the Fraternal Scholarship are not eligible to apply. This award is paid directly to the student.
Amount: $500
Deadline: June 30, 2025
Number of recipients: Up to 60 annually
Details: TAP is available to student members in kindergarten through 12th grade attending a Catholic school. Applicants may apply annually, whether they won or lost the previous year, as long as they are enrolled in a Catholic school. Eligibility to apply is immediate upon becoming a member. Winners are chosen at random.
Amount: $50
Deadline: June 30, 2025
Number of recipients: Up to 100 annually
Details: REAP is available to public school student members in kindergarten through 12th grade attending a Catholic religious education program. Applicants may apply annually, whether they won or lost the previous year, as long as they are enrolled in a Catholic religious education program. Eligibility to apply is immediate upon becoming a member. Winners are chosen at random.
